The body-double conspiracy theory

This is one of the most perfect examples ever of a situation where you can throw sh!t at somebody and they can't wash it off, no matter what they do. You can be sure that for evermore, if you Google "Britney" +"Hold it against me" +"video" you'll get half a million hits all saying it's an established fact that all of the female dancing in the video was done by someone called Allison Kyler. Google "Allison Kyler" and you'll get half a million hits stating the "fact" that she did all the female dancing in Britney's "HIAM" video.

You may say "But what if the video shows Britney dancing and you can see her face?" The conspiracy theorists and haters have their response ready. "You can do anything with technology. This is why it took so long to make the video. They had to attach Britney's head to Allison Kyler's body in every scene."

So then you say "But we've been watching Britney for 12 years and we know what her body looks like. It's quite an unusual body, and the shapes of her boobs, legs and ass are very easily recognisable." You think that would do it? Nooooooo! The conspiracy theorists and haters are ready for you. "You can do anything with technology. If they can change Allison's head they can change the shape of her body too!"

Basically, there's NOTHING you could say, now or ever, that would make people accept that it's Britney dancing in the video, if they didn't want to. Obviously, if the person dancing in the video is dancing badly, they WILL want to. There are loads of people who are just dying to believe the worst about her, in every situation. I've even encountered a so-called "fan" who believes, fervently and unshakeably, that it isn't really Britney's voice on her records. If producers, songwriters, anyone who was in the studio, says "Rubbish, she's a great singer!" our conspiracy theorist will say "They have to say that, they're on the payroll." You can't win.

One last little note on the video and the use of body-doubles. When Geri Halliwell made the video for "It's raining men", observant people who know what Geri's body looks like can see that, when she begins a fast spin sequence, her normally flat ass suddenly becomes rounded and curvy. I'll be looking out for little things like that in the "HIAM" video. No matter who the faker is, there are always mistakes that we aren't supposed to notice.
